Ian Skedd is a Vancouver-based artist. He graduated from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design (2001) and recently completed an MA in Fine Arts at Chelsea College of Art and Design (2009) in London, UK. His works have concentrated on dialectical relationships between inside and outside and public and private, with a recent focus on the psychological process of decoding information and the trigger that identifies the relationship between language, thought and subject matter. Scott Gallery, Vancouver;  Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; Artspeak, Vancouver; Galerie Werner Whitman, Montreal amongst others. His three-channel video projection Sign Singing: Love Will Tear us Apart, Joy Division, 1979, Deaf Choir, 2009 was featured in a solo exhibition at the Western Front in 2009.
