Western Front Art Auction 2010: The New Deal

This is the preview site where you can see works that will be on auction at the Western Front's 37th Annual Gala and Art Auction on March 6th, 2010.

The Western Front is located at 303 East 8th Avenue in Vancouver, BC. Tickets are $150 and include dinner and beverages. To reserve a seat call 604-876-9343 or email admin@front.bc.ca.

The theme of the auction is "The New Deal".

This work is part of a series produced between 2005 and 2007 which will appear in the forthcoming book, The Selves (Drawn and Quarterly, Spring 2010).

Bio:

Sonja Ahlers is a self-taught artist and writer whose assemblages take the form of installations and works on paper. Ahlers has taken part in exhibitions in Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, Toronto and Japan and currently lives and makes her home between Vancouver and the Yukon. The Selves, a new bookwork by the artist, will be launched by Drawn and Quarterly this spring.
